~ Reiki Self-Healing ~

This four week online class will cover the main concepts and information for Reiki Level 1 (The History of Reiki, The Reiki Principles, charts and diagrams, Questions and Answers) that will allow you to start healing yourself with Reiki awareness. You will receive your Reiki Level 1 Certificate, and the Reiki Level 1 Attunement plus Symbol. Your course also includes Food For Thought, A useful glossary, a mindful meditation, suggested books to read, Reiki links, a powerful mantra and information about other types of healing that go well with Reiki.
You will be asked to keep a journal. You will also be asked to write a paper about how you feel concerning Reiki and how this course has influenced your life at the end of class. There are no right or wrong answers.
I will be available to help you through private e-mails. I check my e-mail frequently through out the day and evening. I will be available for as long as you need me. I am still contacting one of my teachers after having finished studying with her in 2002.
I did not rush the study as some do. I think it is better to take your time and absorb as you go along.
I suggest that if you want to continue with Reiki and receive your Reiki Level Two and Reiki Master Level it is a good idea to work with other teachers up close and personal. I worked with four teachers to get all my certificates and found that I would not have learned nearly as much if I had not. Working with more people allows for more experiences.
Reiki Self-Healing Level One, Usui Tradition offers you the opportunity to learn Reiki Self-Healing and start you on your journey with Reiki awareness right from your home. After you receive your attunement you will be initiated into Reiki for life. Reiki, like prayer, travels. Reiki is a very peaceful and non-invasive way to manage stress and promote healing. This course is complete with charts, photos and the Reiki Level One Certificate. I am available for as long as you need me.
Lesson One: Learn about the history of Reiki and the Reiki Principles, the foundation for a more peaceful life.
Lesson Two: Learn the hand positions used for healing and managing stress in your body and mindful preparation to help you get the most out of your sessions.
Lesson Three: Learn about the chakra system and the energy pathways of the body. Experience the Charkra Meditation and the Prayer of Intent. Examine the Three Precepts of Reiki and the Ethics of Reiki.
Lesson Four: Preparation for your Reiki Self-Healing Level One Attunement. The Attunement (time set up for your convenience), a powerful and simple mantra, and some thoughts on “Being” Reiki. You will also explore and learn to draw your healing symbol.
COURSE GOALS: To learn about Reiki Level One and self healing. To explore some ideas and share your feelings. To be able to graduate from the course with your certificate and Reiki awareness forever.

MENTOR: Nora Beeman is a Reiki Master practitioner, handcrafter for over twenty years, budding herbalist, and fledgling astrologer. She has been healing with Reiki since her first level was completed in August of 1998. She also sells her medicine bags, ceremonial gourds, goddess jewelry and spirit dolls at Susun’s gift shop. She has taken Susun Weed’s course~ The Spirit and Practice of the Wise Woman Tradition and she is a graduate of Rosemary Gladstar’s The Science and Art of Herbalism . She embraces the Wise Woman Ways and is getting ready to return to the work world with restored hearing and to continue working with the differently abled. Healing the world one day at a time.

The idea of becoming a Reiki practitioner evolved from a book I got in 1991. It is called “Reiki Universal Life Energy” written by Bodo J. Baginski and Shalila Sharamon. I felt so at home with what I was reading. I wanted desperately to learn but when I researched fees it was outrageously expensive and I could not afford it.
Then in time things started to move along and Reiki became more main stream and finally affordable. In 1998 I found a woman locally that I could learn from. I was joyous! Things evolved from there.
I first obtained my Reiki Level 1 from Deborah Anderson August 1, 1998 and my Reiki Second Level with Lorrie Salluzzi October 31, 1998. I also did a wonderful online brush up Reiki Levels 1, 2 with Darla Meng in May- October of 2002. I became a Reiki Master Practitioner November 17, 2002 with Carol Denicker in Northport, N.Y.
Giving and receiving Reiki is always an experience. I enjoy providing this service and also offer long distance healing for those who would like it. I will gladly put your name on my healing list along with the address the energy is to be sent to.
